Prepare for the Unit 1 Test. The test will cover:
Use the stations from today to study (answers below). Also, use the practice test I gave you in class (answers below). Finally, be sure you look back at your notes! They are good for finding more problems!
Video help is below for some topics. Complete the Test Review from 1.13. Answers below in 2 files. I am also including three videos to help you out. Use them to review for the test (they cover some ideas on the Test Review),
Complete the last two problems from 1.12. Answers up. Remember, define the variables. Write the constraints. Write the objective equation. Graph the constraints. Plug in vertices. To help figure out the points of intersection, use DESMOS. You can write the equation of the line and then click on the intersections to find the points.
Last page of 1.11 from class on Friday. Answers below.
Complete problem set 1.10 (answers below; no work because it was all on the calculator). Use the Matrix Calculator HERE to help you out. You will need to input your coefficient matrix in A and your constant matrix (the column matrix) in B. Then click "Find the Inverse" under Matrix A. The inverse will appear below. Then click "Insert in A" next to the inverse that appeared. Now that the inverse of A is in Matrix A. You can click "A*B" to multiply the inverse times B. Then you will see your answer below! It is that easy! If you want help reviewing Reduced Row Echelon Form and Solving Matrix Equations. There are two videos below (the second one has finding the matrix by hand so it is long).
Lesson 1.8 Problem Set. I am sorry but answers won't be up tonight. I had a commitment right after school. But we can review tomorrow in class.
Complete problems 4, 5, and 6 from 1.7. TWO of them come out as no solution. See if you can figure it out! Answers below.
